What do you enjoy most about your job?

My current role involves daily contact with many different departments within Zurich and no two days are ever the same. This means I have to prioritise my workload to meet deadlines and enables me to build strong inter-departmental relationships.  I enjoy the busy work environment and the opportunity to learn from different business areas.

Yes I have completed my CII Certificate in Insurance (Cert CII).

What have been your career highlights so far?

One of my career highlights was being part of the Zurich Cares London Committee. I get to take part in fundraising and decisions about which charity the grant goes to.

What are the main benefits of working in the profession?

One of the main befits of working in this profession is the stability of your career. The demand for insurance professionals is at an all-time high and there are plenty of opportunities.  Another benefit is that there are always opportunities to meet new people and you get the chance to work with people from various departments eg claims, actuaries.

Why did you choose a career in insurance?

Whilst at sixth form I knew I wanted to go into the financial services sector but I wasn’t sure on which particular part. When I saw the Zurich apprenticeship advertised at my sixth form I applied as it was a great opportunity.  « Back to case studies
